What to expect

Your HIFU treatment experience

Your appointment at Bespoke Clinic Penrith takes between 30 and 90 minutes depending on the area treated. Your practitioner will assess your skin, cleanse the treatment area, apply ultrasound gel and then deliver focused ultrasound energy using the HIFU handpiece. Come well hydrated, with clean skin, and let us know about any medical conditions or implanted medical devices beforehand.

Most people describe HIFU as mildly uncomfortable rather than painful — you may feel warmth, tingling, tiny pulses and brief moments of deeper sensation where collagen stimulation occurs. Afterwards you may notice mild redness, slight swelling, tenderness or sensitivity, which usually settles within a few hours to a few days. Most clients return to normal activities immediately.

Some tightening is often visible straight away, but the real change is gradual. Initial improvement typically appears at 4–6 weeks, continues through to around 12 weeks, and full collagen remodelling takes approximately 3–6 months. Aftercare is simple: continue your normal skincare, wear SPF daily, stay hydrated and support your collagen with a healthy lifestyle.
