IPL or Intense Pulsed Light machines and devices are made to treat cosmetic and medical skin conditions over time. They have continually developed the technology and can be used across a wide range of topical and underlying skin conditions.
IPL’s work by producing a beam of broad spectrum light into a specific area of skin.
The light travels through the skin detecting the hair/blood vessel/pigment to be targeted and upon detection, is then converted to a heat energy, therefore damaging or destroying the underlying condition.
It is delivered to the skin via handpiece which flashes in time with the delivery of the light.
